The Flowing Spring
The Flowing Spring nestles on the edge of the Chilterns on the Henley Road just minutes from Reading, Caversham, Sonning, Shiplake and Henley-on-Thames. It is a friendly country pub that serves fresh, home-made food including vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options.
Two open fires add to the cosy atmosphere in the winter months. There is a separate dining area and a marquee which is free to use all year round. Unusually, the pub itself is on the first floor with an excellent covered balcony overlooking the huge garden. Events are held throughout the year, with Astronomy Nights using high-powered telescopes, Murder Mystery Nights and special food events in the winter months . In the Spring and Summer we hold barbecues, a beer festival, a charity fundraising weekend, the Annual Ferret Show, live music in the garden (JTQ returns on Sunday 3rd June 2012) plus many private and corporate parties in our marquee.
Our Christmas Party menu is designed to suit everyone, with a selection of fresh, home-made dishes for those with dairy and gluten intolerances, vegetarians and meat eaters. We can cater for parties of up to 20 people in the dining room and more in our heated marquee.
