We're up to mischief today: they're letting us out!

That's right, Reading 107 is on tour - well, sort of. You can spot us out and about around Reading today. We're juts going around our lovely town, saying hello to everyone and generally having a bit of fun. It'd be lovely to see some of you in town later today.

Normally the presenters at Reading 107 are kept behind closed doors: trust me, that is usually for everybodies benefit...but today, it's a little different. Ah well, it'll be nice to get out of the dark studios and into the town!

I love watching people who claim to have supernatural powers putting their claims to a full-blown independent test. Thanks to Neil from Winnersh who sent me the link to this movie online about that very thing. It's just over 9 minutes long, but boy is it worth watching... enjoy!

Note: Parents beware, there's a rude word or two in there somewhere that might not be suitable for younger ears, but it's all in good nature.

Okay, so we've been getting quite a bit of response from you from our Reading 107 Twitter page (www.twitter.com/reading107fm), so I guess it's time to jump on the bandwagon!

You can see my tweets (why aren't they called 'twits'?) at www.twitter.com/andydavidjones (yeah, I had to use my middle name, unsurprisingly 'andyjones' was already taken as a user name!)

I'm still not entirely sure what all the fuss is about, do you? Maybe you can enlighten me. I'm hoping to use it for a bit and get some sort of moment of clarity where I go "oh, I get now why this is such a big deal!"

Banana Derby

I've just updated this weeks Monkey News, which means that I would have had to get rid of the pictures of the Monkey Derby. However, so many of you want to keep them up, I've put it into the blog, so you can see them forever more! Enjoy!

There’s a new craze that’s sweeping the USA: monkey jockey races!

The idea is simple (and apparently the monkeys absolutely love it, otherwise I’d be very uncomfortable mentioning it). It’s the usual thing; jockeys get on a ‘horse’ and it’s a case of first past the post. However the monkeys don’t use horses – they use dogs!

The Banana Derby is growing in popularity and there is even talk of Sentanta Sports covering it next season!
